In the last years, traditions become less and less important. The society has changed a lot and every generation tries to be modern. The huge corporations take place of small shops, the industry is changing too. How about people, they very often dont find the time for anything but for their job. Countries want to cooperate and they invest money in machines, in export and import.
But should we really be so modern and forget about our past? Is the process of globalisation worth it? In my opinion, every country should take care of its traditions because its the most important thing. We can change opinions with foreigners but also keep our identity. What exactly does this word mean? It's not a banal word. Stories connected with the past and told by grandparents, songs sung by mum or dad, first lessons at school are all the things which create our identity. Stories told to children stay in memory for all the life. Around us, there are young people who refuse their nationality and who claim that they could live in every place and absorb every culture. I think that some of them exaggerate and that partly, they always remain Polish or Italians and so on.
Even that I enjoy travelling, buying foreign products watching not Polish films, I still take care of my national identity. I hope that great corporations won't ruin our sense of identity. I'm sure that I won't never forget about my country because its culture is too rich and too interesting.
